Melbourne Knowledge Week: The New Gatherings

Melbourne Knowledge Week participatory discussion hosted by QVWC's Feminist Emissary, Katie Sfetkidis, and facilitated by women of diverse backgrounds.

During 2020, artist and QVWC Feminist Emissary Katie Sfetkidis undertook a year-long archival project documenting the experiences of women and gender diverse people from across Victoria during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For MKW21, Katie will host the continuation of these conversations in an afternoon tea session, interspersed with three short performances - dancing, drumming and singing. Participate in conversations that will help shape the future work of the Centre.

Confirmed participants/discussion leasers include Mandy Nicholson (Wurundjeri Traditional Owner, writer) , Claire G Coleman (writer), Veronica Pardo (CEO Multicultural Arts Victoria), Dr Alisa Pedrana (scientist), Anna Barnes (writer), Merren Ricketson (arts worker & educator), Stella Weidemeyer (school strike activist) & Elizabeth Reed (visual artist).
