Responsible Portrayal of Women in the Media
The ways in which women are portrayed in media can affect how we think and feel about ourselves. Images presenting unrealistic beauty ideals, stereotyped gender roles, objectification and sexualisation of women are all negative representations of women found throughout contemporary media.
There are resources, however, which offer an alternative, empowering and responsible portrayal of women.
